Terms of Service

Welcome to Klemo. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Klemo website at klemo.in, the Klemo API, and all related services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. Account Registration

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and API keys.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. The Service

Klemo provides an AI-powered document extraction API that converts invoices, receipts, and tables into structured JSON data. The Service includes:

• File upload and URL-based document extraction
• Batch and asynchronous extraction processing
• A web dashboard for managing extractions, API keys, and account settings
• REST API access with key-based authentication
• Webhook notifications for extraction events
• Integration support for Zapier, Make, and other automation tools

4. API Usage & Rate Limits

• API usage is subject to rate limits and credit allowances based on your subscription plan.
• Each extraction consumes credits as defined in your plan. Credit costs vary by extraction type.
• Exceeding rate limits will result in temporary request throttling (HTTP 429).
• Unused credits do not roll over between billing periods.
• We reserve the right to modify rate limits and credit costs with reasonable notice.

5. Subscriptions & Payments

• Klemo offers both free and paid subscription plans.
• Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis through Dodo Payments.
• You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time from the dashboard.
• Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are provided.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' prior notice.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Upload malicious files, malware, or content designed to exploit the system
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, authentication, or security measures
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
• Share or resell API keys or access to the Service without authorization
• Use the Service to process documents containing illegal content
• Overload the Service with excessive automated requests beyond your plan limits

7. Uploaded Content

• You retain all ownership rights to the documents you upload and the data extracted from them.
• By uploading content, you grant Klemo a limited license to process the content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
• You represent that you have the right to upload and process the documents you submit.
• We do not use your uploaded documents or extracted data to train AI models.
• You can delete your extraction data at any time via the API or dashboard.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its code, design, documentation, branding, and all related materials, is the intellectual property of Klemo. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our prior written consent.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Klemo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, or goodwill arising out of your use of the Service. In no event shall our total aggregate liability exceed the amount you have paid to Klemo in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

• You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it from the dashboard settings.
• We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, abuse the platform, or fail to pay for your subscription.
• Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Your data will be deleted within 30 days.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Sangrur District, Punjab, India.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time by posting the updated version on this page. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the dashboard. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
